In autumn 2021, Momo, vocalist, and keyboardist from Momocurly release her first solo jazz album, produced by Momocurly. It's a mix of the warm sound of a rare vintage electronic piano (Wurlitzer 200A) and her vocals on an old jazz standards repertory. The simple but deep and warm sound makes you feel better.

Momo Otani,
Born in Tokyo, she started electric piano and classic piano with the influence of her mother. After graduating from the Kunitachi high school of music, Momo joins the Senzoku College of Music and study jazz piano and music theory with Yuki Arimasa.

She became quickly active on the Japanese jazz scene and performed with different bands as band leader and side musician.

In 2016, she started a collaboration with the French guitarist Christophe Pannekoucke, and start touring in Europe and Japan with different projects. They launched the original band "MOMOCURLY" in 2019, fusing jazz, pops, European, and Japanese music influences. After "Cosmic Lips", they plan to release their second album at the beginning of 2022.

2021年秋、Momocurlyのボーカルとキーボードを担当するMomoが、ソロとして初の弾き語りジャズアルバムをリリースする。Momocurlyプロデュース。
希少なヴィンテージピアノ、ウーリッツァー200Aを使用した温かなサウンドを、魅力ある10曲のスタンダードに乗せ、シンプルだが奥行きのあるサウンドに仕上がっている。

Momo Otani
東京都出身
母の影響でエレクトーンとピアノの始める。
国立音楽大学附属高校を卒業後、洗足学園音楽大学に入学し、ジャズピアノと音楽理論をユキアリマサに師事。
在学中より日本のジャズシーンで自身のトリオを含めた様々なバンドで活動を始める。
2016年、フランスのギタリスト、クリストフパンヌクックとの共演を機に、いくつかのプロジェクトを立ち上げヨーロッパと日本でツアーを行う。
2019年には、フランスと日本のポップ要素をジャズの醍醐味である即興演奏に絡めた折衷的、またユニークで魅力的なユニット、"MOMOCURLY"を結成、
フルオリジナルアルバムの"Cosmic Lips"等リリース後、現在は2022年にリリース予定の新しいアルバムを制作中。
